FINALS DAY AT EUROPEAN CHAMPIONSHIP FOR UNDER 16 GIRLS IN TURIN.

Spain is the new European Champion for Under 16 girls, after a great final against Serbia. Spanish team show a great group, with two stars as Abalde Diaz and Torrens. Serbia fly in first quarter, when their starting five can play at the best. In the second quarter, the effort of 8 matches in 10 days began heavy and Spain can fly to 38-25 of the rest. Serbia try to play to win, but arrive just at 6 points. Spain gave the match in the wonderful hands of Alba Torrens (22 points, and MVP prx of the Championship) and catch the gold medal.

For the bronze medal, Russia won against Belarus after two horrible quarter of play, with Hasper and company that fly with 3 points shots and good action in the area. But in the final of the second quarter, when the centre Hasper went out for a illness on 37-27 for Belarus, Russia began its match and take a victory that gave them bronze medal.

Italy won against Czech Republic and is fifth in the final standing. It was a strange match: balanced in the first quarter, than with great Italy (+18), with great return of Czech Republic after the rest and with a three points shot of Giorgia Sottana (best scorer and assist leader of European Championship) to decide the match in the final.
