ITALY LOSES CLELIA CORSI: INJURED
Italy Under 16 girls national team, after the victory in Memorial Andrea Grossi, continue to train regularly in Asti’s Palasanquirico to the European Championship (july 30th-august 9th).
Unfortunately, the ankle’s injury of Clelia Corsi it was much more serious then expected, with involvement of the ligaments: it said magnetic resonance. Corsi, that was in the starting five as a centre, leaves wednesday the national team and returns at home. Good news, on the contrary, for Martina Fassina and Sabrina Cinili: thay are perfectly restored to health. So, Italy continues to traing with 15 girls.
There are no more match scheduled. The decision is not a choice for the coaches D’Antoni and Genta but necessity, because in this period of the season there aren’t teams ready for a match. So the coaches have to train with no more competitive references until the terrible first match in the European Championship for Under 16 girls, friday july 30th against Serbia, that won the championship (but with girls born in 1987, this year players was born in 1988) in Turkey one year ago.
